CSc 337 - Web Programming > Assignments > Server Directions

Both of the following methods assume that you have requested an account and that I have created it. If you have requested an account, you may have to wait up to 24 hours before it is created.

How to Upload Files

Step 1: Download/install/open your favorite SCP client. I recommend WinSCP for Windows and Cyberduck (free if you download from the website, expensive from the App Store) for OS X.

Step 2: Connect using the following parameters:

Step 3: Navigate to the /web directory and upload any files you need.

Viewing Your Website

Step 1: Navigate to http://navytank.no-ip.org:33780/users/netid/, with your NetID in the URL. Any files you have uploaded into the /web directory should appear here.

Step 2: Log in using the same username and password as you did to upload files.

Step 3: There is no step 3!

Homework Submission

There is no special turnin utility or site needed to turn your homework in. Your homework will be copied from its location on the class server at the specified due date and will be graded afterwards.

Your homework should always be entirely contained in a directory inside /web labelled homeworkN, where N is the homework number. That is, Homework 5 should be in the directory /web/homework5.

If your homework is not on the server at the time it is due, it will not be graded.
